Well as we all know, if you talk about something that people feel guilty about, it hits a nerve.
Guess what, I found out which one of those are live, raw, exposed nerves at MyBroadband.
The above resulted in a banhammer to one of my many troll user accounts.
Whaahahhahaha Rudolph, is all the guilt of your fine dining on all the wads of cash you get from your pals S.J. and J.v.Z making you feel a little guilty? Don't worry, I already called SARS and asked them to audit you!
Ever wonder how deep the MyBroadband - Vodacom friendship runs? Here's the proof of it.

There doesn't seem to be a definitive guide out there for quick reading on how to get Go installed and working on an embedded platform running Armbian, so I am putting this out there as a quick-reference for myself and others who might need to do this at some point.
My set up is:
First things first, grab the install tarball from the Go website. This one runs on Armbian (AllWinner H3 chip)
In your home directory, simply expand the archive:
$tar -xvf go1.8.3.linux-armv6l.tar.gz
The above operation will neatly untar everything for you and you can do an initial check- important since this is a non-x86 machine.
In your home directory (or where you untarred to) you can get to the golang executable via:
By running the executable on the command line we can do a quick check that we have a workable version:
Now we need to set Go up properly, so we need to move the files to the correct place.
$sudo mv go /usr/local
This will move the unpacked files to /usr/local. In theory you could install these anywhere but this is the most logical choice. Now that the Go installation lives in /usr/local we can set up the environment variables:
Three variables have to be set, namely GOROOT, GOPATH, and PATH. To do this and make sure it is available every time we work in Go, we will assume your workspace (workspace is where you want to write your code) is in your home directory somewhere i.e. home/[username]
Add the following to .profile:
Then, set a proper environment variable so that Go is accessible anywhere from the shell:
Open the environment variables file by editing it:
$sudo nano environment
At the end of the PATH= string, add the following:
Reboot the system to apply changes. Then in your home directory, create a simple Go program to test it.
Place the following in a file named test.go:
And then run that code using:
$go run test.go
I had been long wondering when the next high-profile MyBroadband member would be banned: its been quiet for a long time now, but this week, it happened. MagicDude4Eva (aka Gerd Naschenweng- CTO of BidOrBuy) is the newest unperson: MagicDude4Eva
The victim of Rudolph's latest power trip reveals all the details on his blog here.
The ban was triggered due to Gerd filing a PAIA request to MyBroadband (PTY) LTD- It relates to the fact that Afrihost are spamming and the issue was, in essence, covered up on MyBB, because, as we all know, companies that pay for their plugs essentially pay protection money- protection against criticism, protection against being exposed, etc..
In this post, Zoopy refers to the boundary, and that is exactly what it is: you complain about a company that pays protection money, you are in shit for "dissing them" or saying anything that is construed to bring them into disrepute.
From the whole thread created about this incident, one interesting item stands out:
This user, is a spy. Nothing more than a nark for Rudolph. I had my suspicions for a while now, but its now all falling into place, the pieces of the puzzle, that is.
So therefore, the whole purpose of Mybroadband is actually moot- the forum ought to be shut down and the site should run as an entity that just spins clickbait like a few other sites do.
If you wish to comment in the DISQUS box below any MyBroadband article, you will sometimes get an issue where it says "Hold on- this is waiting to be approved... blah blah"
An example of this looks like so:
So it is now very apparent, that certain words or phrases, trigger this condition. Pretty pathetic really, but my mind now goes onto the next step- Which words exactly are off-limits, or more accurately, which words are not newspeak?
From the above example, we can already add "click-bait" to the list of naughty words!
I have also seen that, different criteria apply for MyBB and BusinessTech, so an interesting exercise/side project would be to make lists for both platforms. This is a work-in-progress which I will update periodically. Stay tuned for more :)
