I'm an asshole (he's an asshole, what an asshole)
Every time I hear that Denis Leary song, I cannot help but think of the one person I can honestly say fits the description- and its like my mind comes back to the same place every time. Yup, its THAT asshole. The one who believes he is LORD OF THE S.A. FURRIES (pun intended), Rakuen Growlithe!
Besides being in the butt-end of the gene pool (no surprises there) it's not enough to simply call this individual an asshole. We need to tell the sordid tale of what I even think amounts to the word "pervert" being too gentle an adjective.
So let's see what we have here:
Let's start at the beginning...
I encountered this individual when I started to contribute to a local furry forum (the infamous zafur.co.za). Bear in mind that, the forum requires moderator/admin approval of all new signups. I had waited over two weeks and nothing had happened. The way I got something to happen was by firing up mIRC, and see if I could find the site owner(s) on there and I did. I had to ask him directly "Please sir, can you approve my account"!
At the time, the place was already in a state of decline, with them running a very old version of forum software (phpBB V 2.x - remember that!). As anyone who has an existential hobby would attest, one feels motivated to want to help out there, you know the form- its a community after all. The response from this guy was straight "NO"!. I am like.. seriously dude.. what the fuck. If you wanna be like that.
So dear reader, by now you know what kind of person I am, I don't take kindly to fucktwats such as this one. In time I did learn what kind of fellow he was, and also I saw the history that was before my time.
So I happened to find this site recently: weasyl.com.
I went and had a look because some other folks known to me use the site. One thing that did catch my eye was their Staff Code of Conduct page. I must admit many lulz were had reading through that. But let's bring your attention, dear reader, to the following section:
Staff members are forbidden from performing their duties while under the influence of any mind- altering substances. If there is any indication that a staff member is operating under the influence, they will be temporarily locked out of their account. Prescription drugs are permissible, although we require that they seek approval from the rest of the staff before performing their duties if they affect a staff member's performance.
LOLWUT, do I now have to get permission from some shitty internet forum I am volunteering at, to take my prescription drugs? Not even my employer has that kind of over-arching power.
So needless to say, I won't be using a site that has such draconian (and illegal) rules.
